“absolutely brilliant day trip around Transylvania, Peles castle and the view is gorgeous, Braşov a picturesque little town and Brans castle gothic and interesting. we were picked up at 7:40 from the east end of University’s square, by the statue of Heliade-Rădulescu, there were a few tours going at the same time so be sure to arrive early. dropped off around 10pm but did encounter traffic and Bran’s castle was very busy (which Julia, our host, who was fantastic, took into account and gave us an extra hour or so to see the castle). we paid extra for entry into Brans castle, in hindsight i would have forgone this.”

“Ed was an absolutely wonderful guide around this amazing city. He was enthusiatic and incredibly knowledgeable. I'm ashamed to say I didn't know a lot about the history or culture of Romania before, but Ed gave us a comprehensive and clear overview throughout the tour. There was a good balance of humour and learning - with many great personal stories and recommendations too. We saw all the main sights of the city in a tour that went by too quickly - even with the freezing fog at the end! I would 100% recommend!”

“We had a great 3+ hour tour with our guide, Oktavian. Even though it was freezing cold and rainy, we enjoyed every minute as everything was so interesting. Oktavian shared real stories and insights into Romanian politics and history, which are recent enough that we actually remember hearing about much of it growing up. My husband loves history, and Oktavian filled in several knowledge gaps with lesser-known facts and details that came from Oktavian's thorough research. As a result, my husband said that the true stories aren't always found in the books. Oktavian also shared personal memories from the tougher years of communist Romania, including rationing, which made the experience…”

“We chose to be picked up from the Novotel. The pick up never came and only when we got in a WiFi area I got a message to say they waiting and the pick up has changed. This could have been sent to us a few days before, because I am sure they knew they don't pick up from Novotel anymore. Website should be changed not to give that option then.
